A wind of change has been blowing in Tobago. An emergent culture that marries old
and new traditions and trends in a dance that the island has never seen. The younger
islanders are bringing the influence of new technologies and global trends while the
older generation slowly adapting to changing tides, continues to promote the unique
smells, tastes and sounds of the island. At the middle is where you will find MVP Mas
Band (MVP Mas). MVP Mas purposes to preserve the nostalgic elements of Tobago’s
culture whilst introducing the progressive advances practiced globally to elevate the
island’s carnival scene. Our ambition is to create an experience that all generations can
appreciate, at the same time holding fast the foundations that are distinctive to Tobago
and draws visitors to its shores. This is the soul of MVP Mas.

Our genesis started in 2023, with an exhilarating J’ouvert production that saw support
from enthusiastic masqueraders who enjoyed the fresh new experience of MVP. This
staggering support propelled our vested interest to expand our brand with the inclusion
of Night Mas and Pretty Mas production. Our vision is to continue on the course of
meaningful expansion and adaptation through strategic collaborations. MVP Mas wants
to nurture a revolving door of innovation and flexibility that rides the wave of change, but
meets the heart of the people and never loses the essence of Tobago.
